Bio/Description

Tina Karimaghaie is a senior concentrating in Medical Anthropology with a certificate in Global Health and Health Policy. As a pre-medical student, her academic pursuits are grounded in the dynamic intersections of healthcare accessibility and quality of care. Her Junior Paper was centered on the multifaceted physical, social, and personal challenges faced by patients following a cancer diagnosis.

Coming from a diverse background, Tina, an Iranian woman, was born in Germany and raised in Nashville, TN. Her ultimate career aspiration is to promote holistic, universal healthcare on a global scale, while embracing intercultural perspectives and models of care. Tina serves as the Community Engagement Chair and is on the DEI Committee of her eating club. She is also a member of the Compassionate Medicine Fellowship as well as a Hatch Teaching Fellow and Tutor.
