Parker Hill is a senior in the Anthropology Department specializing in Legal, Political, and Economic Anthropology. She is pursuing a minor in Values and Public Life (in the Center for Human Values) and a certificate in Cognitive Science. As a pre-law student, her interests lie in legal systems, constitutional law, political philosophy, and ethics. Her Junior Paper revolved around cultures of traffic, their acting as microcosms for larger societal values, and norms versus laws in governing behavior. Her ongoing thesis topic will examine the intersection of constitutional law, legal structure, and culture in the United Kingdom.
On campus, she plays on the Varsity Women’s Basketball team, operates as the Gear Chair of the Charter Club, and works at the Frist Campus Center. She is also involved in non-profit work as the founding member of a chapter of Phi Beta Psi, a civic service organization dedicated to fundraising for cancer research and providing research grants to physicians.
