Bio/Description

 

Michiko Tsuneda is the Program Manager of the Center on Transnational Policing, Managing Editor of the journal Transforming Anthropology, and the Associate Managing Editor of Current Anthropology. She has conducted research on the issues of gender, ethnicity, and transnational relations in Malay Muslim communities in the southern border region of Thailand. She received her PhD in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Previously, she managed and supported programs at Harvard University, Columbia University, Waseda University, and Tokyo Gakugei University, while translating academic works and working in various editorial capacities for academic publications.
