Bio/Description
Ivan Melchor is a Data & Research Assistant for the VizE Lab for Ethnographic Data Visualization. He uses qualitative and quantitative methods to conduct research regarding climate change, flooding, and public policy. He received his bachelor’s degree in History from the University of North Carolina at Asheville where his fieldwork focused on Migrant Labor Camps in Western North Carolina. Previously, he worked as a legal and research assistant on immigration and medical legal partnerships at Pisgah Legal Services, a non-profit legal aid based in Asheville, NC.
