Elisabeth Powell, ANT '14 A.B.

Bio/Description

After growing up in Atlanta, GA, Elisabeth Powell graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with Highest Honors from Princeton University, where she earned First Prize for her Senior Thesis: “Anthropologists in Business: Teaching Anthropology in the Classroom of Everyday Life.” She is a published author and speaker and has applied her anthropological lens to drive human-centered, global innovation and brand strategy for her clients such as Hilton, Uber, Diageo, Apple, Kraft, Estee Lauder, Saks Fifth Avenue and Google. Driven by her conviction to use capitalism to solve society’s most intractable challenges, Elisabeth is currently attending The Harvard Business School in pursuit of her Masters in Business Administration (M.B.A.), where she received First Year Honors. She interned as a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group and will be returning full-time upon graduation to focus on driving employee engagement, organizational performance, and the future of work. She was selected to join JUSTGen, a community of emerging leaders within JUST Capital, serves on the Board of Directors of The Harvard Business School’s Women’s Student Association, and was elected to be a Class of 2024 Admissions Rep, where she focuses on encouraging and enabling typically underrepresented candidates to apply. Elisabeth is passionate about creating a more equitable, empowering, and humane form of capitalism that benefits all stakeholders.
