31 ANT Majors' Meeting, 5:00 pm EDT, via Zoom
10-11 Junior year advisers assigned
30 Deadline for the first meeting with your adviser
1-2 Group meeting on conducting library research in Anthropology;
Individual consultation scheduled afterwards with Firestone librarian
10-13 Fall Break
16 DUE: JP Progress Report submitted to the department
24 Last day of classes
24 DUE: JP-related writing submitted to adviser
30 Reading period begins
1-15 Schedule a meeting with your adviser to discuss your JP and writing
2 Spring-term course selection in TigerHub
8 Dean's Date
15 DUE: Junior Paper Proposal submitted to adviser and to the department
15 DUE: Final Track Declaration (default is Socio-Cultural Anthropology)
1 Spring term classes begin
TBA Senior thesis planning group meeting with the DUS
5 Deadline to discuss your JP proposal with your adviser
19 SAFE opens for senior thesis funding application for summer research
12 DUE: Full Junior Paper Draft submitted to adviser
Failure to submit or discuss with adviser will likely result in a deduction.
13-16 Spring Break
The ANT Junior Paper deadline has been extended from 4/16 to 4/28/21.
2 ANT-IRB Boot Camp with IRB compliance administrator (10am-12pm EDT)
4 SAFE closes: Deadline to apply for summer Senior Thesis Research Funding
13 Fall-term course selection in TigerHub
19 JP substantially written. Begin final edits
27 Last day of classes
28 DUE: Final Junior Paper submitted to the department
Advisers hold discretion to grant extensions up to the University deadline.
28 Reading period begins
5 Dean's Date (Wednesday)
7 University JIW deadline. Dean's extension is required after this date.
15 Last day of IRB advising, with exception for submitted protocols in progress
