The Program in Ethnographic Studies (ETH) was approved by the University's Board of Trustees in 2015. Graduating seniors majoring in the departments of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, Psychology, and Spanish and Portuguese were awarded the first certificates in Ethnographic Studies at commencement in 2017.
All interested students are welcome to enroll in the program at any time; however, planning a course of study early during one's undergraduate years is recommended to ensure timely completion of the core and elective courses. See examples of trajectories for ETH students. Learn more about the program or contact us for more information.
