Nikita Taniparti, a second-year Anthropology graduate student, has been appointed to the newly formed Graduate Student Committee on the Graduate School for academic year 2024-25. The Princeton faculty voted April 1 to accept the proposal of the Graduate School to add graduate students to each of its four governing subcommittees. The four subcommittees of the Faculty Committee on the Graduate School are responsible for reviewing and making recommendations on academic policies, curriculum, fellowships, and student life and discipline. Previously, all subcommittee members were Princeton faculty.
Nikita remarks, “I am thrilled to join the first Graduate Student Committee on the Graduate School this coming academic year. This opportunity builds on my previous career in public policy and development, and it will allow me to expand my interest in higher-education administration. With an interdisciplinary educational background, I am looking forward to understanding how the Graduate School decision-making process unfolds, to participating in the collective process of academic governance, and to giving back both to the graduate school and to my home department of Anthropology!”
Warm congratulations, Nikita!
