Congratulations to Professor Elizabeth (Lisa) Davis, awarded the Graduate Mentoring Award by McGraw Center for Teaching and Learning and the Graduate School. The mentoring award recognizes faculty members who nurture the intellectual, professional, and personal growth of their graduate students. Graduate students nominate faculty members for the award and serve on the committee that selects the winners.

A student who recommended Davis commented, “Class discussions with Lisa always felt like a stimulating discussion with an old friend. Lisa knew exactly when to intervene and when to let the students work through a topic on their own.”

Recipients will be honored during the Graduate School’s Hooding ceremony on Monday, May 29 at 4:30 PM.
