Didier Fassin, James D. Wolfensohn Professor in the School of Social Science at the Institute for Advanced Study and visiting professor in the Department of Anthropology has been recognized with the 2018 NOMIS Distinguished Scientist Award. This award is presented to exceptional scientists in support of their exploration of unconventional academic paths. Fassin is the first social scientist to receive this award, which he will use for a project that will analyze contemporary crises in various domains of human life from a global perspective.
