Anthropology Manager Joe Capizzi honored for his ten years of service to the University

April 3, 2024

Our very own Anthropology Manager, Joe Capizzi, was honored on April 2, 2024 by the Office of Human Resources for his ten years of service to the University.

Joe has been with Princeton University since 2013, starting in the Industrial Relations and Education Research section as Department Office Support III. In 2015, he was promoted to a new role as Assistant to the Director in the Center for Statistics and Machine Learning. In 2016, Joe joined the Council on Science and Technology as Program Coordinator. He was quickly promoted to Program Manager for the Council and stayed mid- 2023. To our great joy, Joe became Manager, Finance and Administration for the Anthropology Department in August 2023.

All Princeton employees honored for service milestones received a certificate of recognition embossed with a special copper-engraved rendering of Nassau Hall by the late Michael Graves, the Robert Schirmer Professor of Architecture Emeritus, along with a commemorative pin for their specific years of service.

In 2011, Joe graduated with honors receiving his master’s degree in criminal justice from Monmouth University. He obtained the Management Development Certificate, Business Technology Program Certificate of Participation, and the Human Subject Rights Certification (CITI) from Princeton University. Joe currently serves on Princeton University's AMG Steering Committee as Associate Chair and Scheduler; Award Coordinator (2023-2026).

Warm congratulations, Joe!
