Event Description
Join Jerry Zee (Anthropology) and Franz Prichard (East Asian Studies) for a conversation about the diverse ways scholars study the impact of urbanization. From the dust in the air, to the imageries captured by photographers, filmmakers, and writers, urban development shapes the material world, and culture, around us. Our conversation will cover the ways that ethnography, as well as cultural and media studies, help us understand the development of urban areas, particularly in China and Japan.
