Word Up! Community Bookstore (New York, NY) will host a Book Discussion event for Laurence Ralph’s new book, Sito: An American Teenager and the City that Failed Him.

Laurence Ralph (Professor of Anthropology, Co-Director of the Center on Transnational Policing) will be joined in conversation by Aimee Meredith Cox (New York University), an anthropologist, writer, movement artist, and critical ethnographer. She is the author of the multiple award-winning ethnography, Shapeshifters: Black Girls and the Choreography of Citizenship (Duke 2015) and the editor of the volume, Gender: Space (MacMillan, 2018).
