22         Dept. deadline for the first individual meeting with your thesis adviser

25         Dept. deadline: Senior Thesis Proposal due to your adviser & in Canvas, 12:00 pm Noon 

26         SAFE closes:  Deadline to apply for Fall Semester Senior Thesis Funding, 11:59 pm [Decisions by 10/13; Use funds by 12/4/23]

14-22     Fall break

Beginning Oct. 23     Weekly writing workshops begin; schedule TBA

6           SAFE opens for Winter Senior Thesis Research Funding application

10         Dept. deadline: Revised/final senior thesis proposal submitted to adviser and the department

29         SAFE closes: Deadline to apply for Winter Semester Senior Thesis Funding

 

December

7          Last day of regularly scheduled classes

8          DUE DATE: Thesis writing that you have workshopped is due to your adviser. Ask your adviser guidance on the expected length and                      format of this submission.

22         Meeting with your adviser to discuss the piece of writing submitted this month

 

January 2024

15-27    Wintersession

26         Dept. deadline: One full thesis chapter with detailed outline submitted to adviser and Canvas (12:00 pm, noon)

29         Spring term classes begin

16         Dept. deadline for individual meeting with your adviser to discuss your thesis chapter and outline

March

9-17      Spring break

18         Dept. deadline: Full senior thesis draft submitted to adviser and the department (5:00 pm)

15         Two-week deadline:  applicable ONLY IF student has not submitted any draft to the adviser; then this date is VERY important.  

19          Dept. deadline: Final Senior Thesis submitted electronically via Thesis Central by 11:59 pm Eastern Time 
              NB: Advisers hold discretion to grant extensions up to the University deadline.

26          Last day of regularly scheduled classes

29          University deadline Senior Thesis. Dean's extension required after this date.
