ETH Advising

The Ethnographic Studies certificate program provides advising on an on-going basis, including summer advising support for students conducting ethnographic fieldwork, if needed. Before beginning their fieldwork, students will demonstrate proficiency in the relevant field or contact language and acquire Institutional Research Board (IRB) approval for research projects involving human subjects, if applicable.

When students conduct their ethnographic fieldwork as part of their senior thesis projects, advising received from the ETH program is supplementary to advising the students receive from their senior thesis advisers in their departments of concentration.

Please see Program Staff for ETH certificate advisor contact information.
